Replika has updated its Privacy Policy with significant changes to how conversation data is collected, used, and shared. We reviewed the updated policy and identified three key changes that affect user privacy.

- Data retention period extended from 12 months to 36 months for premium subscribers

Your conversations with Replika may now be used to improve the company’s AI models, potentially exposing personal details shared during intimate conversations. The addition of Amplitude and Mixpanel means your usage patterns and conversation metadata could be shared with these analytics companies for behavioral analysis.
Premium subscribers will have their data stored three times longer than before. This extended retention increases exposure risk if the company experiences a data breach. The longer storage period also makes it harder to fully delete your digital footprint if you decide to stop using the service.
